Ageism affects many older Australians — and understanding your rights is an important step toward change.
On Human Rights Day – Wednesday 10 December 2025, the ACT Human Rights Commission is hosting a hybrid forum about supporting older Canberrans to know their rights and speak up when needed.
The session will feature:

- Sue Hendy – International Federation on Ageing
- Dr Penelope Mathew – President, ACT Human Rights Commission
- Karen Toohey – Discrimination Commissioner
