Join the community for the official 2026 Australia Day Awards & Citizenship Ceremony, hosted by Cessnock City Council.

The morning will begin with a 🌿 Welcome to Country, followed by a 🎭 performance by Aboriginal Cultural Immersions.

Celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding contributions of local individuals and community groups, and welcome 🎉 over 45 new Australian citizens as they make their Pledges of Commitment.

☕ A light morning tea will follow the ceremony.

🤟 Auslan interpreted by Sweeney Interpreting, supporting Deaf and hearing-impaired community members.
