- How do I join SweeneyApp?
- Android devices > Play Store > type in Sweeney Interpreting > download & install
- Apple devices > App Store > type in Sweeney Interpreting > download & install
- What information do I need to add?
- your name
- postal address
- email address
- mobile number
- NDIS and/or EAF and/or business information for payment
Note: it’s important to record all your information correctly so you can make and manage bookings accurately.
- What information do I need to book an interpreter?
- date and time of booking
- booking reason (e.g staff meeting, see the GP)
- address if face to face
- VRI links ( Zoom, MS teams, Facetime etc) – for now, please type/paste VRI link in ‘Booking Details’ as there may be a bug in ‘VRI link’ box.
- any information to help interpreters prepare – agenda, minutes, PowerPoint, etc.
- Do I need to add VRI links?
You need to add VRI links – this is new for everyone and we are working on this feature.

- What do the different words mean?
Normal Booking – a booking that has been processed by the bookings team during office hours
Last Minute Booking – a booking that you make when the office is closed
FTF – face-to-face bookings
VRI– Video remote interpreting
OLT – Online Translation booking
- Do I need 1 or 2 interpreters?

- Can I find out information about each interpreter?
You can find more information about our interpreters. Click on an interpreter’s name and it will show information and/or a video about themselves.
- I can’t find an interpreter on SweeneyApp?
This means the interpreter is:
- not available
- not working with Sweeney Interpreting yet
- Can I make recurring bookingsTo make a recurring booking
- ‘Create recurring booking” Yes
You can choose Daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly- ‘Repeat Every’
You can pick the day you want- ‘Number of occurrences’
If you want to book for 6 sessions, then write down 5. The booking you are making first is # 1 - How do I book interpreters during office hours?
- You make a booking
- You can ask for a preferred interpreter or leave it blank and we will find the right interpreter/s for you
- We will ask them if they are available
- If they are available we will book them
- If they are not available we will look for different interpreters
- How do I book an interpreter last-minute when the office is closed?
- You can book a last minute interpreters 4.00pm to 9.00am Monday to Friday
- Weekends
- Public Holidays
- Christmas holidays
- You make a booking
- Choose an interpreter- you can only choose 1 interpreter. If you want two interpreters you need to make 2 separate bookings
- Add your phone number on the booking
- The fee is higher (see below)
- How do I know the status of a booking?
On the top of the screen you will see either
- pending (we are looking for an interpreter)(orange outline circle)
- confirmed (orange solid circle)
- cancelled (orange outline circle)
- Will I get notifications?
SweeneyApp will send you the notifications that you have chosen
- SMS
- App notification
You can choose more than one
- I need to cancel my booking
You can click on the cancel button on the top right hand side
- Do I need to pay if I cancel my booking on the App?
If you cancel under 24 hours – yes, you need to pay
If you cancel over 24 hours – you do not need to pay
- Why do I need to update the SweeneyApp?
When we fix or improve SweeneyApp, you will be alerted that there is a new app version. Please accept the new app version so you can use the app better.

The old way of booking will close at the end of February 2023.
